The Ottawa/Gatineau Hillal Committee has announced that there was no authentic moon sighting any where in North America or South America, so tomorrow Wednesday, August 11th, 2010 will be 30th of Shaaban and the 1st day of Ramadan will be Thursday August 12th, 2010 inshallah.
In Shaa ALLAH Taraweeh will start tomorrow in the Mosque of Aylmer. IQAMA for Isha Prayer will be at 10h00 PM. See the calendar below for more details:

AL-Hamdo LiLLAH, the new Mosque of Aylmer has opened its doors on time before Ramadan and we have all enjoyed the new spacious and air-conditioned prayer rooms for men and women, and also the warm reciting of Sheikh Mohammed Ibrahim from Lybia. On the other hand, this progress has brought with it large bills still unpaid in addition to unfinished renovation work that has to be completed before winter of this year. In terms of numbers:
The Mosque of Aylmer has immediate expenses (first installments + renovations) totaling $476200. So far an amount of $164200 has been paid. The mosque is now in urgent need for $312000
This is an urgent call to the Muslim community in Gatineau and Ottawa to help raise these urgent funds. The Mosque of Aylmer is now in its most critical phase and your contribution can make a difference in shaa ALLAH. A Fundraising Event is being held this Saturday, August 21st, 2010 in the Mosque of Aylmer in the middle of Taraweeh prayers.
