 By organizing this outing to Storyland, Al-Ihsane Association in Ottawa-Gatineau has had a two fold aim to achieve: first, give children an opportunity to have fun and to feel the true joy in escaping to nature with her complete set of elements. Then ‘’heal’’ the tired minds and bodies of the parents from a harsh and laborious week in the work mazes of the cities.

On September 20th 2008, at D'arcy school in Aylmer, AL ihsane school has launched its first academic year with the mission to offer to the canadians youth in the region of Outaouais the opportunity to learn to read, speak, write and understand the arabic.

They called it "Bon Voisinage" or "good neighbourliness"... They announced it on the association's website, distributed flyers, posted posters  all around the streets in the neighbourhood, sent invitations to the residents of the area, and also knocked doors and talked directly to the people.

The campaign looked to me like a preparation for the upcoming municipal election, and this only made my curiosity to grow... I didn't know what to expect from this festival...in those quiet streets of the city of Aylmer, QC.
